VAG EMISSIONS FIX REVERSE / DIESELGATE SOFTWARE ROLLBACK
Return Your Vehicle to Its Original State – Pre VAG Emissions ‘Fix’ for only £150 inc. VAT
In order to trick pre-production tests into believing that their vehicles created fewer emissions than they actually did, the Volkswagen/Audi group altered the software in their ECUs. A software upgrade or call back was made available to owners of the impacted vehicles as a PR measure after they were discovered. This update applied to 1.2, 1.6, and 2.0 TDI models made by VW, SEAT, Skoda, and Audi. Some owners who had the call back software upgrade claim problems and failures with various vehicle parts.
WHAT FAULTS ARE BEING REPORTED?
-
REDUCED FUEL ECONOMY
Some car owners claim that after installing the Dieselgate patch software, their vehicles' fuel economy has decreased.
-
DPF REGENERATION & CLOGGING ISSUES
Abnormal regeneration cycles and blocked DPFs are being experienced by some vehicles as a result of the software updates.
-
EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE MALFUNCTION & BREAKAGE
Some owners have reported EGR failure and malfunction. With the emissions software update, we have heard from owners who have replaced their EGRs more than once.
-
LOUDER ENGINE NOISE
Furthermore, accusations have been made that engine noise is now louder than it was before the emissions patch.
IS THE ROLLBACK ILLEGAL?
It is completely legal to roll back your software to how it was originally. Being that you are the owner of the car and are not legally compelled to follow software call backs, you have the freedom to use your vehicle anyway you see fit.
AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE THE PATCH INSTALLED?
We don't see any reason to feel obligated to take your car back to the main dealer to have the emissions patch software installed if the car is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Even if you remain covered by the warranty, you are not required to install the software. But if you didn't, it might compromise the terms of your manufacturer's warranty.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY VEHICLE HAS HAD THE DIESELGATE SOFTWARE UPDATE?
You might not be aware of the emissions patch if you acquired your Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda, or Audi used. A definite way to tell, besides the stated difficulties noted above, is to bring it to us. We can check to see what software is installed and help you get it rolled back. You can also contact us via phone 07886 266128 or using a contact form by clicking here.
HOW DO WE ROLLBACK THE DIESELGATE SOFTWARE?
We are among the few businesses in the uk who can provide a reversal solution. We can roll back the software in your car to a pre-patch state using our specialised ecu tools. Thus, the pre-dieselgate factory original software will be installed on the ecu of your car.
Unique .frf files will be kept in the ECU's flash history. While some of these .frf files will be "pre-fix software," others will be the emission fix software. Using special tools, we will restore the old software that has been hidden in your ECU's files.
This software solution is not a remap, it should be mentioned. Sadly, a remap won't fix the problems that owners are experiencing. Once we install the pre VAG emissions fix software on your car, we offer discounted rates if you want to have a remap performed. Also, we provide group booking discounts for our VAG emissions reversal service.
